Meet The Team

Meet
Adeline

Hi! My name is Adeline. I’m French, and I grew up in Paris.
My husband, Mark, is American, and together we’re raising two bilingual daughters. In 2019, we crossed the ocean and moved to San Francisco, and it quickly became home.
Professionally, I’ve worn quite a few berets: Office Manager, Admissions Officer at a prestigious bilingual school in Paris, and certified Hypnotherapist and Dream Analyst. I've also founded a nonprofit movement. Different roles, but a common thread: I love connecting with people, understanding their stories, and helping them get where they need (or want) to go.
French Commute might look like a change of direction, but for me it’s simply a more playful way to do what I’ve always done… just in a different setting.
With French Commute, my goal is not only to drive you to your destination, but to take you a little further… in French.
I know what it feels like to learn a new language. I studied English and Spanish at school… but let’s be honest, you don’t learn to speak in a classroom with 30 students.
As a teenager, my summers were spent with a family in Spain, some of the best memories of my life. My Spanish improved quickly, unlike my English. So in my twenties, I decided to move to San Francisco for a year to really work on it.
That’s also where I met my future husband, which, I have to say, helped quite a bit with my practice.
These experiences made me realize that the real magic happens through conversation: listening, speaking, making mistakes, laughing… basically learning as adults the way kids do, just with a few more headaches along the way. It’s okay, there’s Advil for that ;)
I consider myself a safe driver. I got my license in Paris, and honestly, if you can drive there, you can drive anywhere! Especially if you’ve survived the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées… that’s the ultimate driving test.
I learned on a stick shift and completed the classic 30 hours of practice required in France before taking the test, and passed on the first try!
And as a mom of two bilingual daughters, while French Commute may be a new business, driving people around in French in San Francisco is something I’ve been doing for years…
Disclaimer: I don’t usually swear… but I’ve been told that one or two French *#”’§#! might slip out while driving. Let’s call it part of the experience!

Meet
Colette

Meet
Colette
Hi! My name is Colette. I might be half-sized, but I’m double the fun!
Adeline got me in 2022, and we have formed quite the duo since then.
I’m a city girl! I know my limits, so I stay off highways. I care far too much about my appearance (and yours) for that.
Despite what you might think, I’m surprisingly roomy on the inside. And since I’m light as a feather, the San Francisco hills are no problem for me!
Thanks to my size, I can park almost anywhere, so my ETA is my ETA. No parking headaches, ever!
Oh, and I’m fully electric, so I like to think that I’m doing my part for the planet!
Adeline makes sure that I’m scheduled for regular check-ups. She is a firm believer in preventive care.
My latest 360° ‘beauty check’ was in March 2026. I may be a few years old, but I like to think I run like a 2026 model 😉!
During our rides with you, Adeline and I are operating under HUM Rideshare TNC certification & insurance.
